About me

I am currently an Associate Professor and Future Fellow in the School of Computer Science at the University of Sydney. I joined the University of Sydney in August 2017. Prior to that, I worked as a DECRA research fellow at the University of New South Wales from January 2015 to July 2017, a Postdoc at the University of New South Wales from November 2012 to December 2014, and a Postdoc at the Chinese University of Hong Kong from September 2011 to September 2012. I received my Bachelor degree in Computer Science & Technology from Renmin University of China in 2007, and my Ph.D degree in Department of Systems Engineering and Engineering Management at the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2011.

Research Interests

  • Network Science (e.g., community detection, community search, graph clustering)

  • Graph Database (e.g., subgraph matching, graph similarity search)

  • Practical Graph Algorithms (e.g., main-memory, distributed, and I/O-efficient algorithm for efficiently processing large graphs with billions of edges)
